ABOUT ME

My name is Tina Brown, and I am an experienced health and fitness professional who is committed to transforming lives, mind, body, and spirit.  I currently reside in Baltimore, Md. with my husband, daughters, and granddaughters.  I have a Master of Health Science degree in Clinical Research Administration, with a focus on health disparities in minorities from George Washington University.  I previously worked for Johns Hopkins University as a Clinical Researcher in the area of diabetes research and chronic disease management in underserved communities.  I am a certified personal trainer, certified health coach, a recently certified life coach, and a certified Exercise is Medicine (EIM) professional.  I own and operate a health enterprise, Divine Fitness and Health Services, Inc. which is focuses on community health promotion and includes a summer fitness camp for kids, as well as various research projects.  I am currently enrolled in the PennWest Global Online program, pursuing a doctoral degree in Health Science and Exercise Leadership.  I serve in the Army Reserves in the rank of Sergeant Major with 37 years of service.

DIVINE FITNESS AND HEALTH SERVICES, INC

Chief Executive Officer/President 

Currently serve as the CEO/President of Divine Fitness and Health Services, Inc., a local health promotions company focused on creating and implementing programs to help address health disparities and inequities in minority communities. I also serve as the Executive Director of a non-profit organization. 

2012 - 2015

JOHN HOPKINS UNIVERSITY

Clinical Research Professional 

Served as a Project Manager for a $2.1 million PCORI funded COPD Research Study.  I also served as a Project Coordinator for a Diabetes Self-Management Study.  Both projects focused on addressing health disparities in the minority community, and both had an exercise component. 

1987 - 2024

Sergeant Major/Senior Enlisted Advisor

US ARMY/ARMY RESERVES

Operates at higher echelons of the U.S. Army Reserves as a strategic and transformational leader positively impacting the enterprise. Serves as a principal advisor including General Officers (GOs), Colonels, and Civil Service personnel.  Currently assigned as the Training Management SGM for the Total Army School System (TASS) for Army schools across 37 states ensuring training is conducted in accordance with Army Training and Doctrine standards
